Recap: The First Month at Pioneer Elementary

The school year has been underway for just over one month now! Students and staff at Pioneer Elementary have been busy learning, growing, and building community. From the colorful kindergarten days to the fun of earning Prospector Bucks, the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year is off to a great start! Here's a breakdown of everything that's happened so far.
The first month was filled with fun and community-building activities. The year kicked off with a fun first day of school, where students showed what it means to S.H.I.N.E. on campus by making creative posters that captured how they shine like gold every day. Pioneer Prospectors also helped their youngest students learn their colors by wearing a different color theme each day!
Learning is in full swing across campus. Our students are reaching new heights in P.E. - literally - as they climb the rock wall and swing on the ropes. In the classroom, our third graders put on their scientist hats after reading "The Case of the Gasping Garbage" and used chromatography to solve their own mysteries.
The Prospectors are also "cashing in" on their hard work! Students have been earning Prospector Bucks for Shining Like Gold all around campus. They recently had the exciting opportunity to spend their bucks at the Trading Post, earning prizes and learning that making positive choices truly pays off.
