I would like to welcome you and your child to sixth grade.  I look forward to an exciting year of learning and being involved in your child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development this year. It is my goal to make your child’s learning experiences positive and to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child’s years of schooling. Students will have the opportunity to work with multiple teachers, and get the opportunity to move around, which will make the adjustment to Junior High a little less stressful. Attending school everyday is extremely important. Being on time is a necessity! The classroom curriculum is structured to build upon the preceding lesson, and missing lessons may interfere with your child’s learning. Please inform me if you anticipate your child being away from school for an extended period of time.

I look forward to teaching your child, and making this year one of their best school years!

About Me

I have been teaching for thirteen years. I’m entering my twelfth year here at Pioneer Elementary. I grew up on the wonderful Island of Nassau, Bahamas. After high school, I attended college in South Carolina where I received my B.S in Elementary Ed. from the College of Charleston, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from South Carolina State University in 2004. I am married to a wonderful husband, and we have three beautiful children, ages 16, 11, and 2.
